Buckhorn Lake State Resort Park is home to a variety of watersports. Water sports enthusiasts will find entertainment on Buckhorn Lake. The marina has 95 open slips, two launching ramps, rental pontoon boats, and fishing boats. Waterskiing and jet skis are also allowed on the lake. Open April – October.

Buckhorn Lake State Resort Park offers an outdoor swimming pool to patrons and a public beach area.

The Hazard Pavilion was built in 1988 and is one of the most comprehensive indoor recreation centers in Kentucky. The Pavilion consists of:

  • heated 25-meter pool
  • two tennis courts
  • three raquetball / handball courts
  • aerobics room
  • 1/12 mile long track
  • weight room
  • sauna
  • cardiovascular equipment (including new True CS series elliptical, treadmill and stationary bike equipment)
  • sundeck and patio
  • locker rooms
  • party room
  • You must be 18 or older to use the Walking / Running Track
  • You must be 15 to use the Weight Room.
  • Children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

The Pavilion hosts private swimming lessons and Yoga classes.

Perry County Park offers a public swimming pool and kiddies’ pool open seasonally, and offering events such as movies at the pool and refreshments. The Park also offers miniature golf, a skate boarding area, walking track, basketball and tennis courts, and children’s playground.
